What is Nexus Care?
Nexus Care is an international medical AI consultation and companion system that provides bilingual (Chinese/English) healthcare navigation services in Shanghai. We help international residents and visitors access healthcare services without language barriers.
Is Nexus Care free to use?
The AI consultation and hospital information features are free. Appointment booking and companion care services may involve fees from the respective hospitals and care providers. We do not charge additional service fees.
What languages does Nexus Care support?
Currently, Nexus Care supports Chinese and English. We are working on adding more languages including Japanese, Korean, and French in future updates.
AI Consultation
Is the AI diagnosis accurate?
Our AI provides preliminary symptom analysis and department recommendations for reference only. It is NOT a medical diagnosis. We strongly recommend consulting with a qualified healthcare professional for any medical concerns. The AI accuracy rate for department recommendations is approximately 85%.
Can I upload images for analysis?
Yes, you can upload medical images (such as skin conditions, x-rays, or documents) for AI analysis. However, image analysis is also for reference only and should be verified by a medical professional.
How does voice consultation work?
You can speak directly to the AI by clicking the microphone button. The system supports both Chinese and English voice input. AI responses can also be read aloud using the text-to-speech feature.
Is my health data kept private?
Yes, all health data shared during consultations is encrypted and stored securely. We follow strict data protection protocols. Please read our Privacy Policy for details.
Appointments
How do I book an appointment?
Go to the Appointment page, select a hospital, then choose a department, doctor, date, and time slot. Confirm your booking and you will receive a confirmation. You can also view your appointments in the Health Records section.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes, you can cancel appointments at least 24 hours before the scheduled time. For rescheduling, please cancel the existing appointment and book a new one. Repeated no-shows may result in booking restrictions.
Do I need to pay online?
Currently, our platform handles appointment booking only. Payment is made at the hospital during your visit. We may introduce online payment in the future.
Companion Care
What is companion care?
Companion care provides a trained professional to accompany you during hospital visits. They help with navigation, translation, and emotional support throughout your medical experience.
How do I request a companion?
Go to the Companion Care page, fill in the request form with your appointment details and special needs, and submit. A companion will be assigned and you will receive confirmation.
What languages do companions speak?
Our companions are fluent in both Chinese and English. Some companions also speak additional languages such as Japanese and Korean.
Emergency
What should I do in an emergency?
Call 120 immediately for emergency medical services in China. You can also use the emergency call button in our app. Do not rely on AI consultation for emergencies.
Does Nexus Care provide emergency services?
No, Nexus Care is not an emergency service. For life-threatening situations, always call 120 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department directly.
